Returning to TikTok in 2025…If the fuzz don’t shut us down…
Reverend Jay McPherson was born in the hills of Southeastern Oklahoma. Raised by Pentecostal snake handlers, he never knew his real parents. Jay left home at 18 and embarked on a life of fun and adventure. It was during his time “out in the world” that Jay had a vision: Jesus Himself appeared to him with a message for all of humanity. Jay has now dedicated his life to spreading that message to any willing to listen.
“I used to say that a lot of churches bothered me because there was too much hate there. Now I say there’s not enough love there. God has taught me that if I’ll just worry about the love, the rest will work itself out.”
-Reverend Jay
Jay’s thought-provoking ministry drips with comedy and satire, connecting with a wide range of audiences–especially those who feel abandoned by faith. In 2024, he debuted his new solo show “Reverend Jay–Live” at the Fort Worth Fringe Festival. Audiences were spellbound, as Jay weaved a delightful performance full of comedy, storytelling, and magic. His message is inclusive of all, free of judgement, and will have audiences talking long after the show has ended.
Reverend Jay is a proud member of Verve Fellowship, a non-profit organization founded in December of 2024, dedicated to preaching love through arts-based ministry and action. For more information please, click here.
